The 21-40-19 ultra wideband, airborne ground plane antenna is designed for SIGINT type applications where several antennas can be setup in a DF array configuration. The structure of the antenna is composed of a contoured monocone that is shaped for optimized radiation diagram to avoid deep nulls in the elevation pattern throughout the frequency band. The antenna is constructed using high strength fiber glass with a single mounting stud. The structure if filled with closed cell foam for durability and reliability.
