The 20514-01 programming dongle has a DIN-12 connector used with McMurdo Kannad 406 ELTs. Programming dongles remain aboard the aircraft and contain identification information specific to the aircraft. When an unprogrammed ELT is connected to the dongle and switched to the “ARM” position, the ELT automatically updates its memory with the aircraft identification information from the programming dongle.
