Infrared is detectable at greater range and in poorer conditions than standard EPIRB lights, therefore further accelerating recovery times.The SmartFind G8 PLUS RLS EPIRB model (EDMO# 23002000A) has Return Link Service (RLS) capability. This model receives a re-assurance signal, in the form of a blue light, indicating the distress signal has been received and that the user’s location is known by the professional rescue services.
