This static suppressor (EDMO# E-04.10112) is designed for use with the E-04.8 121.5/406 MHz ELT whip antenna to prevent damage from static electricity traveling from the antenna to the ELT. The static suppressor is not necessary for blade or rod antennas since they are already grounded.
