This Electret Microphone is anoise canceling type designed to operate in place of carbon andamplified dynamic microphones. It will not operate in circuits that donot supply a DC bias voltage. Most modern aviation communicationsequipment do supply this required voltage. If unsure, consult with yourradio technical manual or with your local avionics shop.
